Uca Miraflor has been working withProgreso for 5 years. With the support of Progreso, the organisation strengthened the productivity and organisational management of its members.

The field per hectare has increased from 368 kg in 2015 to 828 kg in 2019 (green coffee), and because of the constant monitoring and assessment of the members, the cooperative has improved the quality of the coffee from 82.5 to 84.5 points.

Rutas del Inca is a cooperative with 278 members and is located in Cajamarcaregion (1,600 to 2,400 m.a.s.l.) in Peru.Rutas del Inca started working withProgreso in October 2018. Theorganization has strengthened the post-harvest infrastructure, which improvedthe physical and sensorial profile of thecoffee. Their coffee has a specialty cupprofile, with a quality score of 83 – 87points, and is high in demand.

Nuevo Futuro is a cooperation of 217small coffee producers, who are spreadover five municipalities in the CaucaValley. Nuevo Futuro started workingwith Progreso at the end of 2015. Withthe support of Progreso, the cooperationconducted soil analyses and has buildbio-factories as part of the organicfertilization program. The results ofthese activities are reflected in theincrease in plots ́ yield from 1,079 kg/hato 1,487 kg/ha (green coffee) and qualitybetween 83 – 84 points.

Cencoic is an indigenous cooperativelocated in the Cauca Valley and is, with3,122 members, the largest cooperative inColombia that Progreso works with. Overthe last five years the cooperative, withthe support of Progreso, implementedGAP at the members’ farms, bio-factoriesto improve the fertilization of crops andcenters to strengthen the post-harvestinfrastructure. These measures haveincreased the yields from 700 kg/ha to1,250 kg/ha (green coffee) and improvedthe coffee quality from 84 to 86 points.

Fondo Paez is located in the north-eastof Cauca Valley and connects 436 coffeefarmers. Fondo Paez started workingwith Progreso at the end of 2015. Withthe support of Progreso and incollaboration with CIAT, the organizationconducted soil analyses at individualfarms, in order to implement efficientfertilization plans. Also, Progresosupported the organization with theimplementation of wet and dry benefitsystems so that the members have anadequate infrastructure to carry outefficient post-harvest management.
